  • New Zealand Territorial Seas The territorial sea is the belt of sea adjacent to the coast out to a distance of 12 nautical miles from prescribed baselines over which New Zealand, as the coastal state, has the same rights of sovereignty that it exercises over its land territory subject to the right of innocent passage (and transit passage through any straits used for international navigation) of ships of other states. 'Innocent passage' excludes fishing activities. • In addition to contour lines, relief shading helps visualise the terrain. Hills and valleys are shaded as if they were illuminated from the north-west. Relief layers were generated for each sheet, and specifically for use in the Topo250 map series. There may be subtle differences in the relief shading of adjacent map sheets. The Topo50 map series provides topographic mapping for the New Zealand mainland and Chatham Islands, at 1:50,000 scale. Relief layers were generated for each sheet, and specifically for use in the Topo50 map series. There may be subtle differences in the relief shading of adjacent map sheets. Where no contour information exists, relief shading has not been produced. The Topo50 map series provides topographic mapping for the New Zealand mainland, the Chatham Islands, and offshore islands at 1:50,000 scale (some of the islands at 1:25,000). • The NZGD2000 Meridional Circuit Boundaries as defined by LINZ. [The Rules for Cadastral Survey](http://www.linz.govt.nz/survey-titles/cadastral-surveying/publications/sg-rules/index.aspx) require surveyors to carry out surveys in terms of one of 28 Transverse Mercator meridional circuits. The cos_id contained within this data is a reference to the Landonline coordinate system identifier For more information see crs_coordinate_system in the [Landonline BDE data dictionary documentation](http://www.linz.govt.nz/survey-titles/landonline-data/landonline-bde/bde-documentation). These polygons were digitised from an NZMS 266 map. Original data sourced from [here](http://www.linz.govt.nz/geodetic/datums-projections-heights/projections/nzgd2000-meridional-circuits/index.aspx)

  • Orthophotography within the Bay of Plenty Region taken in the flying seasons (summer period) 2018-2019. Coverage encompassed the urban areas within the Bay of Plenty Region. Imagery was captured for the ‘BOPLASS Ltd’ by AAM NZ Limited, 6 Ossian St, Napier, New Zealand. Data comprises: •2,268 ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:1,000 tile layout •Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information. The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. Please refer to the supplied tile layout shape file for specific details, naming conventions, etc. Imagery supplied as 10cm pixel resolution (0.10m GSD), 3-band (RGB) uncompressed GeoTIFF. The final spatial accuracy is ±0.2 m @ 95% confidence level. Index tiles for this dataset are available as layer [Bay of Plenty 0.1m Urban Aerial Photos Index Tiles (2018-2019)](http://data.linz.govt.nz/layer/103860)

  • This layer contains the index tiles for LiDAR data in the northern Auckland Region captured between 2016 and 2018. - The DEM is available as layer [Auckland North LiDAR 1m DEM (2016-2018)](https://data.linz.govt.nz/layer/106410). - The DSM is available as layer [Auckland North LiDAR 1m DSM (2016-2018)](https://data.linz.govt.nz/layer/105089). - The LAS point cloud and vendor project reports are available from [OpenTopography](https://portal.opentopography.org/datasets?loc=New%20Zealand). LiDAR was captured for Auckland Council by Aerial Surveys from 16 August 2016 to 9 August 2018. These datasets were generated by Aerial Surveys and their subcontractors.
