  • This index enables you to identify the freely available bathymetric data held and used by LINZ on its Antarctic (Ross Dependency) coastal nautical charts. Some of our data holdings date back to the 1960s. The polygons comprising the index show the extent of the survey datasets. The attributes attached to each polygon will enable you to view, amongst other attributes, the age and quality of the bathymetric data. Please refer to the LINZ Bathymetric Index Data Dictionary for further information about the attributes of this dataset. The bathymetric data is not downloadable from the LINZ Data Service. Datasets prior to the year 2000 are predominantly available only as georeferenced TIFF images of the original hard copy sounding sheets. Data post-2000 is often available as both georeferenced TIFF images and as digital data files (vector data in plain text format). Requests for the bathymetric data should be sent to customersupport@linz.govt.nz with “Hydro Bathy Data” in the subject line. Requests must, as a minimum, specify the id, chart_no and serial_no as shown in the attributes attached to each polygon representing the datasets of interest.

  • Index Tiles ONLY, for actual orthophotos see layer [Kaikoura Earthquake 0.2m Aerial Photos (2016)](http://data.linz.govt.nz/layer/3529) Orthophotography of State Highway 1 taken in response to the Kaikoura Earthquake 2016. The aerial photography was acquired for the NZ Transport Agency on 14 November 2016. Imagery was captured for the 'NZ Transport Agency' by AAM NZ Limited, 6 Ossian St, NAPIER, New Zealand. Data comprises: 514 ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:1,000 tile layout. Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information. The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. The products are tiled into NZTopo50 1:1,000 tiles.   • **Orthophotography over Auckland City taken in the flying season (summer period) 2015 -16.** Imagery was captured for the ‘Auckland Council’ by AAM NZ Limited, 6 Ossian St, NAPIER, New Zealand. Data has subsequently been provided to LINZ and this comprises: • 4,835 x ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:1,000 tile layout •Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information. The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. The products are tiled into NZTopo50 1:1,000 tiles. Please refer to the supplied tile layout shape file for specific details, naming conventions, etc. Imagery supplied as 7.5cm pixel resolution (0.075m GSD), 3-band (RGB) uncompressed GeoTIFF. Coverage is of urban areas within the Waimakariri District. Imagery was captured for the ‘Waimakariri District Council' by AAM NZ Limited, 6 Ossian St, NAPIER, New Zealand. Data comprises: 1,116 ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:500 tile layout. Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information. The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. The products are tiled into NZTopo50 1:500 tiles. Please refer to the supplied tile layout shape file for specific details, naming conventions, etc. Imagery supplied as 7.5cm pixel resolution (0.075m GSD), 3-band (RGB) uncompressed GeoTIFF. Refer to the [NZ Addresses Data Dictionary](https://data.linz.govt.nz/document/24489) for detailed metadata and information about this dataset. --- **Background** This dataset provides all allocated addresses as advised to Toitū Te Whenua LINZ by Territorial Authorities (TAs). Under the Local Government Act 1974 (section 319) it is the responsibility of the TAs to advise the Surveyor-General at Toitū Te Whenua LINZ of all allocated addresses in their district. The dataset is maintained by Toitū Te Whenua LINZ in the Address Information Management System (AIMS) which is centralised database for the management of national addresses, including for electoral purposes.   • The Moturiki 1953 to NZVD2016 Conversion Raster provides users with a two arc-minute (approximately 3.6 kilometres) raster image of the conversion of normal-orthometric heights from the Moturiki 1953 local vertical datum to the New Zealand Vertical Datum 2016 (NZVD2016). The conversion value is represented by the attribute “O”, in metres. This conversion and NZVD2016 are formally defined in the LINZ standard [LINZS25009](http://www.linz.govt.nz/regulatory/25009). The height conversion grid models the difference between the Moturiki 1953 vertical datum and NZVD2016 using the LINZ GPS-levelling marks. From the GPS-levelling marks the expected accuracy is better than 2 centimetres (95% Confidence interval).   • Orthophotography in the Christchurch City Council area taken in the flying season (summer period) 2015-16. Coverage is of the urbans areas within Christchurch City and Banks Peninsula. Imagery was captured for the ‘Christchurch City Council' by AAM NZ Limited, 6 Ossian St, NAPIER, New Zealand. Data comprises: 6,993 ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:500 tile layout. Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information. The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. The products are tiled into NZTopo50 1:500 tiles.   • This index enables you to identify the georeferenced TIFF images of sounding sheets held by LINZ throughout the SW Pacific region. Some of these sounding sheets date back to the 1950s. The polygons comprising the index show the extent of each original hard copy sheet - not just the soundings shown on the sheet. The attributes attached to each polygon will enable you to view, amongst other attributes, the date and scale of the bathymetric data shown on the sounding sheet. Please refer to the LINZ Bathymetric Index Data Dictionary for further information about the attributes of this dataset. The georeferenced TIFF images are not downloadable from the LINZ Data Service Requests for sounding sheets should be sent to customersupport@linz.govt.nz with “Hydro Bathy Data” in the subject line. Requests must, as a minimum, specify the id, chart_no and serial_no as shown in the attributes attached to each polygon representing the sounding sheets of interest. The provision of this bathymetric data may be subject to some delay as LINZ confirms with the data owner that they are happy for their data to be released. The owner may attach conditions to the release of their data.

Imagery was captured for the ‘Tasman District Council’ by AAM NZ Limited, 6 Ossian St, NAPIER, New Zealand. Data has subsequently been provided to LINZ and this comprises: • 334 x ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:5,000 tile layout •Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information.
