NZL GNS GM4 Geology (1st edition)
This collection of datasets has been superseded by a new edition (2nd edition, 2020) available here: https://data.gns.cri.nz/metadata/srv/eng/catalog.search#/metadata/79DFDE2D-14C3-4E1A-9BAA-EE4AD2B545AB.
This collection of datasets contains the 1:60 000 geological data for the Tongariro National Park. The datasets were produced by GNS Science. The datasets are stored in an ESRI vector geodatabase and exported to ArcGIS Server. The datasets structure complies with the GeoSciML 4.1 standard and uses the relevant CGI Controlled Vocabularies where possible.

- Statement
- Process Step 1: Data compiled on screen at various scales, simplified for use at 1:60 000 and digitised using ArcGIS. Plots of data verified by GIS operator and author against compilation sheet. Attributes verified for logical consistency by GIS operator. Process Step 2: Data passed initial verification checks and published as hardcopy map. Process Step 3: Data passed final verification against data dictionary and released in digital form on CD/DVD. Process Step 4: Data released as Web Feature Service and Digital Vector Data.
