Magnetotellurics data are used to determine the subsurface electrical resistivity structure and image in 3-D the distribution of conductive regions within the Earth associated with e.g. geothermal fluids, magma, and shear zones beneath faults. Data have been collected across New Zealand (North and South islands), with large arrays measured the Taupo Volcanic Zone, Hikurangi Margin.
