Statement

The Global Strain Rate Model (GSRM) version 2.1 of Kreemer et al. (2014) was the principal information source for this layer. GSRM 2.1 itself relies on many local datasets and separate New Zealand plate motion vector sources are listed in Mortimer (2020). Plate motion information for various sites was captured as vector data using QGIS software in 2019. Subsequent attribution and verification was done by Nick Mortimer and Belinda Smith Lyttle in ArcGIS.
