This map belongs to a loosely defined Bulletin group of published and unpublished geological maps. These have been compiled on various scale record sheets, commonly 1:15 840, 1:31 680 and 1:50 000. Some but not all of these maps were published, typically at 1:63 360 and generally prior to 1950. The Bulletin group maps that were published were prepared using conventional manual cartography, then published as Hard Copy using offset printing presses, usually with an explanatory text. The Hard Copy Map has been scanned at 600DPI, down-sampled to 300DPI, and georeferenced. The digital images have been combined into ImageService dataset for dissemination and released as Web Map Service.
