Manawatu 0.125m Urban Aerial Photos (2019)

Orthophotography within the Manawatu District taken in the flying seasons (summer period) 2018-2019. Coverage encompassed the urban areas within the Manawatu District Council area.


Imagery was captured for Manawatu District Council by Aerial Surveys Ltd, Unit A1, 8 Saturn Place, Albany,0632, New Zealand.


Data comprises:

•1,297 ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:1,000 tile layout

•Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information.


The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. Please refer to the supplied tile layout shape file for specific details, naming conventions, etc.


Imagery supplied as 12.5cm pixel resolution (0.125m GSD), 3-band (RGB) uncompressed GeoTIFF. The final spatial accuracy is ±0.2 m @ 68% confidence level.

Project

Aerial photography was captured over thirteen urban areas in the Manawatu District totalling

approximately 68 km2. The areas of capture are located in the Manawatu/Wanganui Region of the

North Island.


Data Acquisition

The aerial photography for this project was captured within the 2018/19 flying season on the following dates: 29 January 2019, 3 February 2019.


Camera

All photography was captured using Vexcel's digital UCE100 camera and flown at: 0.125 m GSD: 7,887 ft (2,404 m) flying height. Camera Lens: 100 mm


Sun Angle

Imagery captured with a sun angle between 46.3 and 67.6 degrees

Stereo capture: Forward overlap 60%, min 54%. Side overlap 35%, min 15%.
